It boggles my mind that every airline I’ve ever been on insists that “electronic devices may interfere with the plane.” What a gross insult to my intelligence.
If in fact electronic devices truly could cause any damage to the plane or its electronic systems, allowing people to board planes with these devices would put everyone in grave danger. Couldn’t a bunch of terrorists simply board the plane and then all turn on their phones at the same time?! 😉
As you should know, people are generally stupid and unreliable. To rely on humans to turn off their devices in order to protect every life on the plane is about as dumb of an idea as I’ve ever heard.
Then again, pretty much everything about flying/airplanes/airports and the people in them is dumb and inefficient. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that this mundane, “way its been” announcement re: turn off your devices is still given.
