Tiger Woods & I Will Be At The 2016 US Open at Oakmont Country Club!

Tiger Woods has registered to compete in the 2016 U.S. Open Golf Championship at Oakmont Country Club.

These might be the 18 most exciting words in sports! After a long layoff, Tiger Woods is nearly certain to be returning to competitive golf!

I’m excited to announce that after a 5 year break, I will also be back at America’s golf championship. I will not be competing this year. Instead, I’ll be one of the thousands of volunteers who assist the unbelievable team that has been planning this event for over 24 months. This will be my fourth time volunteering (2009 Bethpage, 2010 Pebble Beach,  2011 Congressional) and fifth U.S. Open overall (2008 Torrey Pines.)

I am looking forward to seeing Tiger at Oakmont, and hopefully sooner. Perhaps at The Memorial in my home city of Columbus, at the iconic Muirfield Village Golf Club (Tiger seems to like it here!)

As a Tiger fan, I hope that Woods silences the haters and completes a historic career by overcoming his latest downswing and returning to greatness. It saddens me when I hear people state that “Tiger cannot win again” because this statement is an opinion, not a fact. It’s not fair for the haters to write Tiger off just as much as it’s not fair for fans like myself to proclaim for certain that he will win again. Like many things in life, time is the only way to answer the questions about Tiger.

I believe!
