If Not Now, When?

Epictetus is said to have asked, “how long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?” (this saying hangs printed on my office wall)

I will add on to E-P-T (I just gave him that nickname!) and challenge you with this as well: “If not now, when?”

My brother, the late, GREAT Chad Thomas Lewis originally of Ironton, Ohio and now of New York, NY, randomly and partially in jest asked that question and I found it to be profound. It applies to so many aspects of life we might as well apply it to all of them. Wanting to be better? Be healthier? Be friendlier? Be more empathetic? Be more kind? Be more loving? Be…HAPPIER?

Well…if not now, when?

(Update January 2023: RIP, Chad, RIP. I will love you, miss you, & remember you until the end of my days. Thank you for all that you taught me. I will cherish our time together.)
